Ramen is a Japanese-inspired recipe that is very easy to prepare. Several recipes are available on the internet to make ramen, but we are presenting the easiest of them. Ramen can be made with various ingredients, including vegetables and chicken. Instant noodles, eggs, and a tasty broth make the dish delicious. You will only add chicken if you are making chicken ramen.
Japanese are fond of this instant dish because you only require half an hour from preparation to serving it on the table. Ramen can be made according to taste. If you are in the mood to have pork instead of chicken, you can switch it. It is all about playing with the ingredients.
Japanese are skilled in making ramen within 15 to 20 minutes, and it always comes out to be perfect. They have all the ingredients and procedures at their fingertips. No one can beat them at making ramen, but no one would be able to differentiate the taste with this recipe.
Visit your nearby grocery store and buy the following list of ingredients.
- 2 washed and cleaned chicken breast pieces
- 3 tbsp of soy sauce
- 1 tbsp of unsalted butter
- 1 to 2 tsp of salt (according to the taste)
- Kosher salt (for marination)
- Black pepper powder (for marination)
- 1 tbsp of freshly minced garlic
- 2 tbsp of mirin
- Jalapenos (if desired)
- Fresh green chillies (if desired)
- Almost 4 cups of chicken stock
- 2 tsp of ginger (freshly minced)
- 2 tsp of vegetable oil, or you can use sesame oil
- Almost 2 packs of ramen noodles (you can also use instant noodles)
- 2 eggs
- 1 Oz of dried but flavorful mushrooms
- ½ a cup of sliced scallions
Preparation of Ramen:
Take a bowl and add chicken breasts to it. Now season it properly with black pepper powder and kosher salt. Let it stay for about 15 minutes. Now take an oven-safe skillet and add butter to it. Let it melt in the oven and when it melts, place marinated chicken pieces on it.
When the chicken turns golden brown, take it out of the oven and flip the side. Now bake it again for about 5 minutes and take it out once it’s done. Don’t forget to check its tenderness. Cover it in foil and keep it aside until the dish is prepared and ready to serve.
Now take a deep pot and add oil to it. Let it simmer, and add ginger and garlic paste to it. You can add minced ginger and garlic as well. Make it a bit brown, and then add soy sauce and mirin in it. Stir it properly for almost a minute.
Now add rich chicken stock to it and let it boil. So, now keep the stove to medium flame and let it simmer for about 2 minutes. Now add mushrooms to it and cook them for almost another 10 minutes. Add salt to taste.
Take another pot and add enough water to dip eggs in it. Please put it on the stove and boil eggs for about 8 minutes. Take the eggs out when they are boiled. Now boil ramen noodles for about 7 minutes and rinse once it is done.
Finally, take the stock out in a bowl and add ramen noodles, sliced chicken, jalapenos, green chillies, scallions, and hard-boiled eggs in it. The ramen is ready to be served.
